Right now...

I love pattern paper and I have a huge stash as evidence of that.  But, and there is a but, I don't tend to use it.  Especially my "favourite" papers like "Dear Lizzy", I stash them away for the perfect time to use them, which of course never comes around.

I am currently doing an online class Shimelle (link is sidebar) called Pretty Paper Party.  This layout is from the first prompt (mine is based on her layout) where she explains some basic points on using pattern paper.  I even cut up some Dear Lizzy paper (I know I am still in recovery), they are the seriously cute flowers.  All the other papers are from my Studio Calico kit from November (see stash proof here).  Shimelle also explains that if you get a kit all the papers are supposed to go together so use them together.  I would never have matched these papers but she is right... it does go.

I don't do layouts about myself very often but this is a reminder that I need to do it more often.  The journalling is simple but says what it needs to say - where I am right now and that I am happy.
