Last week the kids and I headed off to the zoo. Josh wasn't overly keen on going but Alex was desperate to go. It turned out to be such a fun day, just the three of us, hanging out, laughing and chatting.

Normally when I go to the zoo and similar places I take along my DSLR but its really heavy and I just wanted to hang out with my kids. I took my new Instax camera and my phone. We had so much fun with the instax although we need to practise more LOL!
I found it hard in the beginning not having my good camera (so no close ups) and I still find it a bit hard with my Instax knowing that I only have one go to get the right photo. The good thing though, only having my Instax and iphone put me right out of my comfort zone which turned out to be a heap of fun.
Sometimes I put too much effort into the photo taking... but today I was in the moment, enjoying the simple things along with the lovely smell of animal poop!

This is so nice Tracey! It's good to be in the moment at times and just remembering the memory without photos or too many photos.
Love the layout and the fun instamax photos, SO CUTE!! Ineed to get me one of those cameras still.
