Dear Tooth Fairy...

My first scrapbook layout for 2013... Yay!!!

Josh's tooth fell out over the weekend but unfortunately he dropped it down the sink.  We suggested that he write to the tooth fairy to explain where they could find the tooth.

I wanted to keep the note he wrote so I made a simple layout including a glassine bag to put the note in.  I also added some journalling...

This is what I journalled...

Today while at the movies Joshua’s tooth came out. It was no big deal, he just wrapped it up in a tissue and kept it for when we got home.

When we got home he went to the kitchen sink to wash it and put it in a glass of water for the tooth fairy. Unfortunately the tooth fell down the drain. As you can imagine deep panic set it. Colin tried to get the tooth out but it had already gone way down the drain pipe.

Joshua was quite concerned now, he had no tooth so the tooth fairy wouldn’t come. We told Josh that maybe he should write a note and let the tooth fairy know what happened.

Well he wrote a note, stuck it next to a glass of water and went off to bed.

On his note to the tooth fairy he asked the tooth fairy to write back. Which of course the tooth fairy did.

The next morning Josh was excited that the tooth fairy came, left him $5 and wrote a note back to him. However according to Josh it was a “human” who wrote the note because tooth fairies are small and can’t write very big and this writing is too big!

Of course I defended the tooth fairy, as you would. Not sure he bought it though.

It will be sad when he finds out the truth about the tooth fairy (although it will be cheaper), but I guess they have to grow up some day!

Will be back tomorrow with my post for Unscripted Sketches.  Did something a little different this time... I used the sketch to do my title card for week 1 in my PL album.  Loved how it turned out so I will definately be using the sketches this way again.

Have a great night... or day depending of where you live.
Love me :-)

Wooohooo...always good to knock that first layout for the year over ;) This is great...poor Josh, I can imagine his anguish! They are small for such a short time, aren't they? Love that you've got this memory to keep forever :)

Oh no, did josh ask for $20, that's high hopes. There's a lesson for us all if we were to impersonate the tooth fairy, write tiny. Did she leave a sprinkling of fairy dust?

WAY TO GO ON LAYOUT #1, love this one!! What a cute story this is and he will love it for years to come. Great idea with the bag to put the journaling in, see a layout with no photo is just as awesome! This inspires me to do the same.

It is hard when they grow up and find out the truth. Sam still kinda believes. We have had a few teeth fall down the drain and lost a few out in the yard. They write a note too and the tooth fairy comes thru for them.

Looking forward to seeing that title card Tracey, how creative to use your card sketch for it. I bet it's awesome!!
