Long weekend here we come

Hi everyone, just letting you know that I won't be around this weekend. We are off to Pinjarra in our caravan and meeting up with some friends of ours. Love going away in the caravan, it makes me relax and its good time spent with the family all together. Even the dog is on holidays... at my mum & dads.
So enjoy your long weekend, relax, maybe read a good book, enjoy a coffee or two ( I have just been to muzz buzz actually so I am here sipping on my coffee, first for the day), sleep in, scrap the odd pay or two and any thing else you would love to do.

Hello my name is

I have been going on lately about my clip-it-up as a great storage tool. The great thing about it is you can see what you have and you use it. I cam across these rub-ons from ages ago and they went with this LO just perfectly.

You Crack Me Up

Don't you just love it when things come together easy and without fuss. Thats what happened when I got a nice little DT pack from Tomorrow's Memories. I knew exactly what I was going to do with the papers because just that very day I picked up some photos that I knew were a perfect match for the papers. And the best part was the whole layout came together in just over an hour. Wow gotta love that. The papers and stickers are from Scenic Route and because they were all from the same range they were easy to use together. And I even managed to put some stictching on my layout now that I have my new sewing machine, however I am still trying to work out the odd thing or two on it.

Twiddleybitz project sneek peek

Hello and I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Sorry but I was going to post earlier but my husband went away for the weekend and took the camera, so this is the first opportunity I have had to share a little project with you.
I mentioned the other day that I was working on a project for Twiddleybitz and was hoping to have it finished this weekend, but things haven't gone quite according to plan. So I thought I would share some little sneek peeks of the project. Everyone who knows me knows that I like to collect quotes and this projects is great way for me to display some of my favourites.

Hello

Hello and sorry for not posting for a few days. Things busy as usual and I am trying to get a routine going now that I am no longer at the shop (TM's boo hoo). Yes I have started a new job, accounts for a Strata Manager, for those that would like to know. I must say its a bit weird, I used to work for this company about 5 years ago and when I started on Monday I was so worried that I wouldn't remember what to do. Well, I did remember.

How does that work, I can't remember what I did on Saturday but I can remember an account code from 5 years ago. Just weird I tell you, weird.

Enough of that stuff, I am playing with Twiddleybitz stuff at the moment and I am hoping to share in a few days, fingers crossed.

I am off now to get a very overdue haircut, so enjoy the rest of your evening I will catch up with you soon.

A recycled gift box

Never throw away packaging... at least not until you are sure you can't use it. This box was the packaging for some lovely paper flowers from Prima. The flowers were gone but the box was still perfect and it seemed such a shame to throw it out. Twiddleybitz sent me some yummy stuff a few weeks ago so I thought I would make a little gift box using some of the chipboard butterflys.
I decorated the front of the box, then added a twiddleybitz mirror butterfly, flower and button.
For the cards I simply embossed the front using the cuttlebug then added chipboard butterflys that I inked using black ink. I added a button and a small greeting (which I sewed on using my new sewing machine) and I was done.
Now I have a gift already to go the next time I need that perfect gift.

Great fun had by all

Happy day everyone. Hope you are feeling well and happy. A little while ago I told you about a fund raising event through Tomorrow's Memories where for a gold coin donation you could take part in an inspiration collage. Each person given a piece of chipboard to be covered in a piece of pattern paper (that was included with your chipboard) and then decorated as you liked. It was also asked that a quote or word for inspiration was included on your piece. On Thursday morning to mark the start of our Australia's Biggest Morning Tea it was put together and hung in the shop for all to see. Congratulations to all the ladies who took part, the end result was nothing short of amazing. Every piece is a beautiful piece of art and you should all be very proud of yourselves.

Here are a few close up shots of the collage. The morning tea went off well also. We did a make and take, which Twiddleybitz kindly donated the beautiful chipboard daffodil that they designed for the event and made outselves sick on all the beautiful cakes and other goodies. We had huge laughs and our auctions where fantastic. So again a big thankyou to all those ladies and took part in the auctions and congrats to the winners. And also a big thankyou to all the wholesalers for all their wonderful donations, it just made the day perfect.

Well with the morning tea over it was time to turn our attention the "Red Carpet Moonlight" that was held last night. After all the discussions, planning and organising there was nothing left to do but enjoy the night. Tomorrow's Memories wanted to make the night a little bit special because 5 years in small business is a big accomplishment so the night was made "formal" to keep in line with the red carpet theme. Yes we even had red carpet at the door for our customers to walk down (okay it was only a carpet mat, but thats when you imagination kicks in). Our amazing customers really got into the spirit of the night and took the theme "formal" to many different places. A big, big thankyou to all our customers last night for getting into the spirit and having a great time. I don't think much scrapping was done but there certainly was alot of laughs, and thats the main thing.

All of us girls who work in the shop were the "waiters" last night and we all dress in black and then added our own touch. This is my little take... my dinner shirt, bow tie and cumberbun (is that how you spell it). All made of paper and happy to say lasted the night LOL.

Are yes, here we all are. Sonya organised the teatowels for a special treat for Jo, Vicki and Clori and they just set off our costumes perfectly.

and of course a red carpet even wouldn't be right with a glass of bubbly to start off the night. Lovely Sonya was in charge and did a sterling job. Kris was in charge of photo's so I am sure they will be up soon on her blog or TM's blog.

Yep and here are the three amazing ladies who have kept this business the amazing thriving, Jo, Vicki and Clori. Congratulations on a wonderful shop. And a big thankyou to all our customers because without your loyal support there wouldn't be a shop.

Sadly it was my last day working in the shop yesterday but what an amazing and fantastic way to finish up this little part of my life. I am truly going to miss working in the shop but it will just make my visits to the shop when teaching or filling in from time to time that little bit more special.

Busting Out! HILARIOUS

Last night my friend Amanda & I went and saw Busting Out. OMG. I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and then laughed some more. By the end of the night I had no makeup on, I had laughed so much I cried and had wiped all my makeup off.
Seriously, I didn't think you could do so many things with your breasts. The map of australia is what got me, can't tell you anymore, you just need to go and see this very funny show.
My cheeks still hurt from laughing so much.
If there is one show you should see this year ladies, its Busting Out. Seriously its just so funny.

Totally Wild You!

Happy Tuesday everyone hope you are all well and I hope all the Mums out there had a wonderful day on Sunday. I certainly did, spending time with my family is very important me and I feel very blessed every time we have time together.
Ok, so I know its been awhile since blogging but really my life just doesn't seem to slow down. It should be you know I put in an order for a more calm relaxed life once the kids went back to school. I obviously sent the order to the wrong department because nothing much has changed.
I actually did this layout last week but this is the first bit of time I have had to upload it.

I have used the new Sassafras Lass paper, which are just so cute and fitted this layout well. I know I have said it before, but if you have photo's that you just can't seem to scrap for some reason don't force it, it will come. I have had these photo's on my desk since November last year and everytime I wanted to scrap them I just kept getting blocked. When these papers came in I just knew these photo's were meant for it.

Although you can tell that my son is being silly and playing his guitar what you don't know is what he is singing which makes the whole thing even funnier. By the time I added all the photo's I didn't leave much room for journalling (I am very passionate about journalling). So I created a pocket and used a the top of the monkey (cut from the pattern paper) to make the pull tab.

And because I have been sorting out my stuff and putting them on my Clip-it-Up (which you can win one here) I came across a whole heap of stickers which just finished off my layout beautifully.

Twiddleybitz layout

Happy Friday everyone, hope you are feeling fine. Finally being creative again after a few hectic weeks. I got a pack of goodies from Twiddleybitz the other day and here is a quick LO that I did using some of the stuff. This layout was so easy and quick, which as you know I love quick. I inked the twiddleybitz with black ink, I love inking these things because it looks good and is so quick and easy. I even did a bit of stamping on the layout.

and the tags were cut out using my slice machine. Oh really loving that slice machine. That is also quick and easy to use.

Farewell

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately but my mind has been on many other things.
Over the last 3 or so months life has been pretty busy and things are just getting more crazy and I am just finding it all a bit hard to fit ti all in. The more crazy part of my life happens when my kids get home from school, you know the after school stuff, sports, swimming, scouts etc and working till 5pm makes this difficult and I have to rely on other people. Also my hubby hours at work are changing all the time which just adds to the chaos. With all this in mind I will no longer be working in the shop at Tomorrow's Memories. This decision was a very hard one for me and one that I did not want to make and one I didn't like making. Working with Jo, Vicki & Clori has been an honour and an abosulute delight. They aren't what I call bosses, they are more like friends so to tell them of my decision was heart breaking. Telling all the amazing girls that I work with there as well was just as hard. Not many people get to work in their dream job and not many get to do a job that they can really say they love but I did and I am very grateful for that. I will miss many things at the shop but none more so than the wonderful customers I get the amazing opportunity to see and chat to everyday. But never fear I am not leaving totally (had you there for a minute didn't I), anyway what would you do without me LOL. I am still going to be teaching and helping out with moonlights etc. so you don't get to get rid of me that quickly.

Okay enough of all of that, for those of you that don't know Tomorrow's Memories is 5 years old this month and they have heaps going on.
