what a lovely day

what do I love about today...
lets see where will I begin...

its raining outside,
my ironing is done,
its raining outside,
everyone is off doing their own thing,
its raining outside,
easter celebrations are over,
its raining outside,
I'm playing with creative stuff,
its raining outside,
its a quite monday afternoon,
its raining outside...
really its lovely because its raining outside,
I am sitting at my desk playing and looking out the window and rain,
lovely rain.
Nothing relaxes me than a lazy, rainy afternoon.
So what am I playing with... my lovely new Prima flowers. Yum, Yum, Yum. I will show the finished LO tomorrow.
and this little project I finished today. This LO is all about the journalling. Capturing the story, the little details that make up my little boys life.
Josh is in year one and learning to read and to make it a bit more fun I stuck "at" words to the fridge so that he could practice. On this particular day he decided to play a little game. He would choose a word off the fridge, get me to "press it" and then he would run off down to his room, put his stereo on, grab his guitar and come running back to me. He would then sing a song about the "at" word that he chose. It was hilarious and he had already sung several before I realised that I should be writing this down.
So on this LO the words are the important thing. So I didn't use many embellishments and kept the LO simple. I did use rubons only to find that they had expired. By that I mean they were no longer any good, which shouldn't surprise me because I have had them for about 5 years. However, after realising they wouldn't work and about to panic because it just ruined my LO and stood back, had a look and realised I kinda liked the look. So I added more. Don't you just love it when things work out...
This is my favourite type of scrapbooking, recording the little things that make up everyday life.
well I am going back to playing now. Enjoy the rest of this wonderful rainy day. I know I will.
PS oh and the hot cross buns are still going down well.
Enjoy :-)
